Stainless steel is known for its durability and is used across a wide range of industries. However, while black is often chosen to create a sense of luxury, traditional coating or plating methods tend to peel and pose environmental concerns. This challenge is addressed by Black Stainless Steel - a unique surface treatment technology that gives stainless steel a rich black color and now supports numerous industries. Subtle yet ever-present, this lacquer-like, beautifully deep black is brought to life in a picture book “experience”, an invitation to its allure, firsthand.
Natural hair used in high-quality makeup brushes are prized for their soft feel and the natural finish they produce. However they are inconsistent in quality, expensive and raise ethical concerns from an animal welfare perspective. In response, new-generation synthetic hair with textures that closely mimic natural hair are being developed to promote a more sustainable craftsmanship. Experience these vibrant animals coming to life through synthetic fibers with our picture book experience. Expressing both innovation and care for the future.

Today, most soap products come in disposable packaging refill pouches or single use wrappers designed to be thrown away. But what if we shifted from “disposable” to “fully usable”? This future-oriented soap was created with the theme of making simpler, more satisfying and more environmentally conscious choices. It invites us to rethink the assumption that soap must come in plastic containers, or that it must be either solid or liquid. The exhibit offers a fresh perspective on these everyday norms through a tactile, experienceable display.
Today, it is estimated that around 150 million tons of waste is floating in the world’s oceans, with roughly 80% of it made up of plastic. This exhibit offers a new perspective on the role that haircare and cosmetic products play in environmental challenges. By rethinking how these products are packaged and used, we present future-oriented cosmetics in alliance with SDGs, including solidified lotions and peel-off masks made from naturally derived ingredients - solutions that eliminate the need for plastic bottles or sheets and contribute to a plastic-free future.

Every year, large amounts of palm tree “bark” falls to the ground and is left unused. Viewing this as “the Earth’s Organic Leftovers,” Minamida combines these discarded natural materials with a cold forging technology process - a method of shaping metal by compressing it at room temperature. The result is a creative endeavour that brings out the uniqueness of natural materials while showcasing the depth and joy of craftsmanship. Children are invited to decorate and create their own expressive masks using leaves and seeds, nurturing their creativity through hands-on making.
